Rare French 18thC Antique Brocaded Silk Home Yardage FabricL-66X W-20

  
MEASUREMENTS: L-66" X W-20", selvedge to selvedge. This is such a rare event to come across 18th century silk brocade yardage of the period. This is far from perfect but there is a great deal of useable fabric to back for decorative pillows, framing, study and collecting. When held to the light weakened, see the light through areas abound. Bottom edge stain, several smaller stains. Wear and smudge areas along top. Four separate hand sewn pieces make up the whole. The ground is cream and flocking stains can also be noted in several areas. Small tears along bottom of fabric. The floral motifs are a light brick peach color. The darker vertical stripes are maroon and peach brick. Please note there is another listing available of same textile.
