Has had a replacement escapement fitted for complete piece of mind to ensure it's operation for another 100 years or so! This clock has been in my family for many years & I can always remember it as a child.
My father was extremely interested in clocks & collected throughout his life. This particular clock however has been passed down my family through the years.
An exceptional high quality clock of its type from this prestigious retailer'Mappin & Webb' & has a hunting theme with the clock movement & barometer surrounded by a beautifully modelled Fox and realistic horseshoes. Both the clock & barometer dial is in excellent condition, with no cracks or hairlines. The clock dial features roman numerals/numbers to the clock face as well as the name of the retailer and'Paris' (please see pics), the clock also features it's original hands. The barometer is also in full working order (you may need to reset it for your area) and features it's original dial, all in good order & free from cracks or hairlines. This really is a beautiful looking clock of lovely proportions and size and would look great on a mantel piece or a desk. The quality French movement has been professionally cleaned and runs for 7 days (it actually runs for around 8 days), but it has always been wound up on a weekly basis. The overall condition throughout is excellent considering it is over 100 years old & has been looked after carefully by my late father who was meticulous about keeping his clocks in pristine condition & which were always serviced regularly.
