A very attractive veilleuse / tisaniere made by Boulevard St. Antoine in the Paris region of France in the early 19th century. Honore founded a porcelain factory here in 1785 and his sons took it over in 1812.

They also partnered with the more famous Dagoty company. This piece here would not have been a teapot warmer but for food or a single cup since the opening is much larger than that for a teapot would have been.

The main body is hand painted with a superb landscape scene including a building, some water, a person and some trees. It is of a very nice quality! The scene is made to look as if you look through a doorway opening with a stone look trim all around and some dark bricks above it. The rest of the piece has a nice off white brick design to it and the top has the typical medieval tower look to it. The base has the same brick design all around.

The candle would have been placed on top of that and then the main part would sit on top of the base and the cup or bowl would go on top to be kept warm. S a really nice piece! Some gold trim to the top as well. The set is in very good condition with just a small touch up on one of the top battlement pieces of the turret as shown. The base has a slight chip to the underside that can barely be seen from the side.

Neither takes away from the piece and they display perfectly! The base is marked with the red stencil Ed HONORE Boulevard Peissome (Peissomiere) K. 04 a Paris as shown. The entire piece is 5.75 inches tall and 4.125 inches in diameter.
