Antique 19thC Sevres French Floral Porcelain Plate Porzellan Teller Blumen 1890s. This product data sheet is originally written in English. A great plate / soup bowl made by Sevres in the late 19th century. It is quite decorative being hand painted with a floral arrangement in the center, a few smaller floral arrangements on the rim with smaller flowers and tiny leaves filling in the rest of the rim. A superb leaf garland along the edge with a nice gold trim topping off a perfect plate : No wonder they are the only real competition for the top German maker except for KPM off course : The plate displays perfectly but has a tight stable hairline to the rim as shown. It is marked underneath as shown with the green Sevres mark S. 93 in an oval and the Dore a Sevres gilder's mark in red for 1895. There are also the usual incised marks as well as a painter's mark for Trager who painted flowers from 1887 until 1909. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter.
