A saucer made by one of the Paris makers around 1800. The piece is nicely decorated with two hand painted scenes along the rim with a gold design in between them and gilding to the edge and around the well edge. The scenes are of nice quality and typical for this area and time period. A little bonus is the fact that the underside rim has been gilded as well which is a bit unusual. The saucer is in good condition with some wear to the gilding - mainly on the edge and around the well and some to the underside as shown.
There is a star hairline crack to the underside which I cannot spot from the top. It displays nicely as is.
The piece is unmarked except for an incised #20 as shown. The saucer is just over 1 inch tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. France Unterteller Untertasse Szene 18thC 19thC 18th 19th century.
