A simple saucer made in France probably in the early 19th century or a touch later. These simple saucers are foten the hardest to find since they can be used on a variety of cup that are missing their saucer. The piece has a thick gold band along the edge and two thin gold rings around the well. There are six indents running from the edge to the well at evenly spaced intervals.
Would work well with a Biedermeier type cup. The saucer is not marked except for an incised G or something along those lines in the bottom center as well as an incised line near the foot ring.
The saucer is in good great with a bit of wear mainly to the gilding along the well and two spots of wear to the clear glaze. It is 1.25 inches tall and just under 6 inches in diameter. The well has a diameter of about 2 inches. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM, Sevres and so on.
