Antique 19thC Limoges Porcelain Framed Gentleman Portrait Plate French France. This product data sheet is originally written in English. A nice plate displayed like a plaque in a wooden frame made in Limoges in the late 19th century. Very much in the style of the photograph prints used to remember people on porcelain plaques but in this case here it is entirely hand painted! A very good quality pieces with the bearded gentleman wearing a nice suit with a bowtie. A bit like a cloudy type background behind him and a nice trim around the rim with a green ground and raised gilding. It has a nice wooden frame around it that is perfect for display. The plate is marked T&V in a green rectangle over FRANCE. Some writing on the back as well. The piece is in great condition - no issues on the plate and some very minor marks to the frame but it displays perfectly! The entire piece is about 12.5 inches in diameter with the piece of the plate showing being about 9 inches. You can hang it on your wall and pretend he is your great grandfather.
