A nice figural pipe bowl made by an unknown maker in France in the 19th century. It is nicely modeled in the shape of a Turk's head with a beard and wearing a fez hat.
The piece does not appear to have ever been used for smoking. The piece is about 2.5 inches tall, 1.75 inches wide and 3.25 inches from nose to the other end. The top opening is about 1.375 inches outer diameter and the top rim is not glazed so there might have been a lid at some point or at least it was intended for a lid. All in all the piece is in great condition with some minor chipping around the very top and the little attachment for the string to hold it in place on the pipe plus a bit of staining though most of appears to come off when I try so it needs a good scrubbing.
