A nice plate made by one of the Paris region makers and decorated by Feuillet around 1820. It is nicely hand painted with a large scene in the center including a lady sitting on a rock with a landscape surrounding including some mountains in the background.
The rim has lots of nice gilding to it. The plate is in superb condition with just a touch of little wear. The scene is labelled in gold underneath - Canton de Bale - which is a part of Switzerland.
The piece is not marked except for an incised X or cross as shown but I have another plate from this set which has the green Feuillet mark in script under it. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. 19th century France Teller Szene Szenenteller.
