This is an antique cross / crucifix pendant probably created in France, Prisoner of War era hand made from cow or sheep bone.. You can see the black flecks of blood vessels in it... Carved from all one piece, and the suspension loop is the same material. It is very detailed with a pierced floral design on the front with leaves, and the outer edges are fine grooved scallop openwork pattern.
It is flat on the back. No maker's marks etc. A good piece of Victorian era jewellery, possibly even part of a rosary. It is in good condition with minimal signs of age and use wear, only 2 tiny nibbles on the edge of a leaf, seen in the last picture.
Otherwise all fine that I can see. It's fairly large and measures approx.
1/4 inches x 42mm excluding the suspension loop. Once an item is the in the postal system any delays are out of my cont rol. See the date it was sent.
