Antique 18thC Chantilly French Softpaste Porcelain Floral Plate Porzellan Teller
A plate made by Chantilly in the 18th century. It is made of soft paste porcelain and hand painted with three nice floral arrangements in the center as well as a small leaf. (Very much reminiscent of Sevres plates of the period) The nicely shaped edge has a basket weave design to the paste and a yellowish brown trim (the color changes between a dirty orange to a light brown between all these plates). The plate is in superb condition with just the usual use marks to the clear glaze (mostly concentrated in a section in the center of the plate) which are common on soft paste porcelain but don't take away from the piece at all!
It is marked underneath with the puce hunting horn mark as well as the letter B and an incised T. It is 9.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall.
