A Large French 18thC Style Tapestry, 151cm with Ebonised Frame circa 1950's

A large continental, French or Italian 18th century style ebonised and gilt framed tapestry measuring an impressive 151cm wide and featuring a lower alpine countryside landscape scene. This handsome, substantial tapestry reveals a muted palette which compliments the scene and frame, applied onto a board to strengthen, with wall fixing points. An antique style tapestry of an 18th century manner, made circa 1950-60's in probably France or Belgium and the frame dates to the same or earlier period. A superb interior design, decorative piece that can compliment a classic or contemporary space.
