A continental yew wood burr TBC, early 20thC side table, poss French, inlaid top. Featuring a wonderful colour and timeworn patina, with an impressive square block burr inlaid top, measuring 57cm diameter above a simple drum style apron accommodating a single drawer with lidded compartment storage with a copper hammered handle. We are of mixed opinions on the wood, ranging from satin wood burr to yew wood burr and a possible tiger wood inlaid marquetry. Elegant tapering legs with low shelf, the table sits well and possesses a distinguished look. Presented in mostly very good condition, structurally excellent and sits well, no twists or losses., the top shows some timeworn minimal wear which adds to its character, some minimal areas of the square block inlaid sections have split or raised slightly where the burr root or edge is shown, please see images. Please request more photos and any questions invited. Free collection from Lewes, East Sussex.
