This is an antique desk seal matrix made from gilt bronze formed in the shape of an eagle. It comes on its own bespoke marble stand which the seal slides on and off.
It is signed Frecourt, which was made by the famous Maurice Frecourt who was born in 1890. In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. No damage to the seal itself. There are a couple of chips on the edges and corners of the marble stand.

90mm or 3 and 1/2 inches tall. The marble stand measures approx. 50mm x 50mm and approx. It all weighs 393.8 grams on the stand.
A fine quality French desk seal matrix. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter.
