19thC French Green Variegated Marble Mantel Clock By Moreau

  

Rendered in spelter it has been given a lovely multi hued bronze finish and provides an amazing artistic touch to the clockwork below with circular dial with Arabic numerals. Set upon a richly veined green marble base with a gilt meta laurel wreath surmounted the clockwork and gilt metal ornate feet.

The movement was made by Samuel Marti and has the makers mark on the movement backplate. The dimensions: 46cm high, 26cm wide, 14cm depth. Condition report: The clock is in very good original condition but it will show age related marks. The clock is I working order but when you place the pendulum it stops.
