The paintings have all been done with just dark red/pink colour on a white background so the level of detail in the paintings is impressive. Then highlighted around the scenes in the thicker white paint which sticks up on the surface of the box.
Feels like braille when touching it with your fingers. No maker's marks etc. Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition.
There are normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs etc. There is unfortunately a fairly large chip in the enamelling on the lid and a few more chips on the base edges which I have done my best to show fully in the pictures above. Around the base edge it has been chipped and re-painted touched up in places in antiquity. This is a really fabulous Georgian enamel box and I have seen these sell in live auctions for 3 - 5 times my price in worse condition than this one. 85mm x 52mm x 40mm.So in inches that is 3 and 3/8ths inch long x 2 inch wide x 1 and 3/4 inch deep. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are. In the title or description it means. Condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. This item is in the category "Antiques\Other Antiques".
